More Blankets

I decided that one mitered square blanket wasn't enough and have started two more. One is simple - malabrigo worsted - yummy - but I need more colors - so if you read this, which I doubt, and you have malabrigo scraps that you don't have any plans for - I would appreciate them.

The other is dk/sport up to light bulky - mostly worsted, but any kind of fiber/weight that makes a reasonable sized square - again - if you have scraps, let me know.

I abandoned my sock yarn blankie for a minute, but I will be back on it this month - last month I was determined to finish my Citron - and it beat out the blankie.

I've got some great new yarns and colors and am really looking forward to knitting on it again.

I did start another blanket - the Hemlock Ring Blanket - in a delicious cotton/wool blend from Cestari. I think I posted details in my regular knitting blog.

Anyway, I really ought to be working :)

The Church of the Blankie Has Begun!

TSR has about 12 or more people working on this blanket now, but because we are all pretty much polyamorous in our knitting, we don't get to work on it as much as we'd like.

So we decided we should meet up about once a month to work on just the blankie, swap minis, and of course, hang out more.

The first of these meetings was this past Saturday, and we all brought food and spent an entire afternoon and evening socializing and knitting!

I only got a couple of squares knit, but it was nice to be back in the swing of the blanket.

In other news, I'm dyeing a new colorway out of my Simple Sock line for the Orange Mini Swap! It's going to be called Orange Sherbert with Chocolate Sprinkles, a mostly orange with some dark brown. I'm so excited!

and a little bit hungry!
